Ted Monk, this is one of a four piece set that I finished in early 2010. They are made of Oak that came from a couple of church pews.
Ted Monk, these are two pieces of a four piece set that I finished in early 2010. They are made of Oak that came from a couple of church pews.
Don Shubaly, I built this piece last year to replace a stock cabinet style island that came with the house. It's 38 inches square. The cabinet and drawers are birch and the top is "Brazilian Cherrywood", all finished with tung oil. The corners were cut by quartering a turned column. The principal challenge was assembling the top, which on its own weighs in at just over 100 pounds.
