Our December meeting, combined with a seasonal social, was again hosted by Lee Valley. Members brought a tasty variety of food; Lee Valley provided tea, coffee and soft drinks. Once again, our crew was very inventive and generous with their toy creations for donation to the Salvation Army. Everyone also opened their wallets and our small gathering raised $555 cash through raffle sales. Raffle prizes were included 2 $25 gift cards – and a wonderful donation of gifts from Lee Valley when Kevin Hurst surprised us with a donation of all the small tools he presented for the evening. He did not include the new Rikon Lathe that he showed, despite all efforts to convince him otherwise. Thanks again to Lee Valley for giving us a place to meet, an interesting and informative presentation -AND a generous donation for our fundraising efforts.
